Recipe Names

For those olde enough to remember, there was a dish named
"Chipped Beef on Toast".....A simple dish of canned pieces
of beef in a white sauce, served over toast......To many this
gourmet delight was called "SOS" or "S--t On a Shingle".....

Don't get me wrong.....This dish once fed a multitude of
people and they did not die from its consumption......

Well in this "modern" age, we now have another similar
offering made with chicken instead of beef......Pieces of
chicken in a white sauce, served over toast.....Ah yes!.....
The recipe named "Chicken Divan".....

I wonder if the original was called "Beef Divan" would it
have been better received?.....Pumps
