Corporate Repairmen
Once upon a time there was the word
"Service".....It was part of the large
corporation which HELPED people with
any problem after they purchased the
"corporate product".....
Those days are long gone.....It seems that
providing "Service" did not make any
money, in fact it was a negative draw down
on profits........
Today a good "corporate repairman" make
about $20 to $30 an hour......A very good
wage in this day and age......And justly due, I
may add.......
But the "corporate repair rate" is $100.00
an hour now.....So while the employee is
only making 1/5 of the amount charge, the
rest goes into the corporate till......
The only time a corporation will stand
behind its product these days is when there
is a "recall", and the lawyers are knocking
at the door.....The rest of the time the
consumer is on his own......
The corporations sold you the product at
the cheapest amount they could, and you
should be thankful for that......If the
product fails, you are now on your own
and the corporation wants more money......
I suspect the "service" bond has been lost
between people also.......Pumps

Apples To Oranges
(I'm back.....Absence was related to medical
problems)......
Everyday on radio or TV, I hear political and
social "pundits" compare the United States
to other world countries, especially those
in Europe......A few facts......
The United States has 300 million people
and is larger than China, in land mass......
That being said lets start comparing......
The United Kingdom is smaller than the
State of Oregon with only 60 million people......
German is smaller than the State of Montana
with 82 million people......
France is smaller than the State of Texas
with 64 million people........
Thus WWII, in Europe, was Montana invading
Texas with Oregon coming to the rescue......
That is only three of the United States........
When someone compares the price of gasoline
and how it is used in Holland, it is the same
as driving in a country twice the size of New
Jersey......And Italy is the size of Arizona......
So much for comparisons......A "long haul"

Solar Power ? ?
Am I missing something?.......After an internet
search, I found a solar powered garden
ornament which requires "one AA-Ni Cad
Rechargeable Battery".......
How can something be solar powered if it
needs a double A nickle cadmium rechargeable
battery to run the thing????.....If you need
a battery to operate it, then it is TRULY
NOT solar......Pumps

Has anyone noticed that the word "no" does
not exist in the language these days......And,
even if it is uttered, no one know the meaning
of the word.......
You can not use the word to an business
superior.....Nor to any adolescent....It is only
accepted by some human being under the
age of 7.....(At 7 the "age of reason" kicks in
and the word "no" is now passe speak.).......
Use the word "no", as the negative word it is, on
any governmental employee, plebe to official,
and see where it gets you......Tell a person in
the medical profession "no" and they will
give you contractual papers at the local
mortician......
What the heck is wrong with the word "no"....
There is a generation of people out there
who have such weak egos that they can not
accept any rejection whatsoever.....Pity.....
